UZBEKISTAN
NSOI first engaged the Government of Uzbekistan in November 2010, and in May 2011 the NSOI team and a broad Uzbek delegation provisionally agreed to a joint action plan. A joint action plan with its government was signed in April 2012.
This joint action plan contains 29 priority steps to improve Uzbekistani capabilities to combat nuclear smuggling. Of these steps, 15 involve ongoing efforts that need to be completed, and 14 comprise new efforts that should be undertaken.
