ArmeniaARMENIA

NSOI first engaged Armenia in December 2007 and signed a joint action plan with the Government of Armenia in July 2008.

The joint action plan includes 28 priority steps to improve Armenian capabilities; 10 of these steps involve ongoing efforts that need to be completed, and the remaining 18 involve new efforts that should be undertaken.

The list of priority assistance projects includes 1 project on radioactive sources, 1 on border detection, 2 on nuclear forensics, and 1 each on laws and anti-corruption training.

The current fact sheets on the assistance projects for Armenia can be found here.  The fact sheets contain all relevant information about the purpose of the projects, the recipient ministries and agencies, the specific needs to be addressed, the activities to be undertaken, and the final objectives of the projects.
