Finland has provided funding to support efforts by the U.S. Department of Energy's Second Line of Defense program to improve the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic's detection capability at key crossing points on its land borders. The Finnish contribution funds provision of radiation detection and other equipment needed to outfit a border crossing, as well as equipment installation and related training.
